When is the best time to travel to Ethiopia?

The dry season (October to May) is ideal for traveling. The period between November and January is considered the peak season with particularly comfortable weather and green scenery after the rains.

Yes, Israeli citizens need a visa for Ethiopia. An electronic visa can be issued in advance or upon arrival at the airport in Addis Ababa. We assist with the entire visa issuance process.

It is recommended to consult a travel clinic about 6-8 weeks before the trip. Vaccinations against hepatitis A, typhoid, and malaria prophylaxis are usually required in certain areas.

Direct flights depart from Ben Gurion Airport to Addis Ababa several times a week. The flight duration is approximately 5 hours. We handle the flight reservations for you.

In the big cities we will stay in good quality hotels (3-4 stars). In more remote areas we will stay in simpler hotels or lodges. On some routes there is the option of staying in traditional villages.

In the big cities there is access to the internet and mobile communication. In remote areas reception is limited. We provide a satellite device for the emergency guide.

Ethiopia is safe for travelers accompanied by a professional guide. We only work in approved areas and are constantly updated on the security situation.

During the trip we will provide mineral water. The food in the restaurants we work with is controlled and safe. Our guides will guide you on basic safety rules.
